It's "Fall Break". I guess that is the new UEA, that's the only thing I can figure out. I'm not liking it. Don't get me wrong, I love love love my kids, but they get so stir crazy it's nutty! They are constantly fighting and disobeying. I'm not good at thinking up fun things to do, and I REALLY don't want to go swimming, even though they do. (Not to mention that would wash Sabryna's hair out before Halloween.) We did carve pumpkins yesterday, and that was fun. Daddy was here and did the bulk of it. Well, he did all of it, I didn't have to help at all this year! Yay for me! I hate cleaning out the guts, it makes me sick. Last year I chalked it up to being pregnant, but I was gagging just at the smell this year and I know I'm not pregnant! So....it was good family time even though I was absent for most of it. They don't get much one on one time with daddy.

I think today we will have to be out for a good part of the day, but it's gloomy and looking like it's going to storm, so....maybe not. Yesterday they played outside a lot and they got along, but as soon as they came in they were at each others throats. Grrrrrr....On the upside though, Daisy still goes to school today. Her pre-school doesn't celebrate fall break I guess, but that's ok with me! It seems that Daisy and Mychigan are the ones who fight the most anyway.
It would be really fun if it snowed today. But living where I live, I doubt very much that will happen. Ho hum. Maybe we will just snuggle in and watch movies and have a carpet picnic all day. That would be fun, I think. :)

It really doesn't snow much there? Crazy!
I know what ya mean about the kids fighting & disobeying when they are home. Mine have been home the last 2 days cuz they are sick. You'd think since they are sick they would be mello. Not the case.
I'm glad the dad could do most the pumpkin crap. That's the way it should be,if you ask me!
Seems crazy to put in a break now when school's out for Thanksgiving in a month and then Christmas two weeks after that. In Washington we had a mid winter break in Feb and that one was great because there are no breaks Feb through April otherwise. It's a great time to take a family vacation too since flights are cheap and amusement parks are too since it is off season. It's nice here in February- well it's a little unpredictable but the year Kaden was born it was in the 70s and so Andrew and Emma had a blast at Disneyland with shorter lines than usual.
Glad that you had Daddy home for at least one of the days to help you wrangle the girls. I love the product of carved pumpkins but yeah- scooping out the guts is pretty gross.
Carpet picnic! I love that phrase! It's my new favorite this week!
I know what you mean about being at each other's throats...course that happens after a few hours around here lately...
Cute pumpkins!
Kate~ Nope, the north gets more snow than we do...almost always.
I think the dad should ALWAYS do the pumpkin crap! So sorry you had sick, fighting kids too, we can relate, huh?
D~ I think a February break would be wonderful! You're right, right now is not the best time right when there are going to be two more in a row. (right right) And I love the product of carving pumpkins too! Just can't stand doing it!
Cec~ I love carpet picnic's, and the girls really do too, so it always helps with boredom and such.
And it doesn't take a couple of hours around here lately, it starts about 10 minutes after they wake up! Why is that? Can't we just be happy together for like an hour? That would be nice!
Back to school tomorrow, thank goodness!
ahhh! Fun!
Glad the girls got to spend some quality time with Daddy on the computer in the background!! hehehe!!
Really, i'm glad he cleaned out the guts for ya...
