Party!

It was our ward Christmas party last night...

I don't know if it's just me, but it was kinda boring. It was supposed to be a luau, but we really didn't do anything. We just sat and ate, watched the bishopric and elders quorum dance to 'Hukilau' and the kids sang a couple of Christmas songs and then one of the sisters sang three songs. Hmmmm....that's it?
I do have to say though, that the food was awesome! They had rice and shredded pork and terriyaki sauce, fruit and rolls...mmmmmm......I guess it was worth it to go, just for the food!
They need a new committee for the Christmas party I think.

Sabryna is still liking her braces, but yesterday morning when she woke up she was hurting. I gave her some Tylenol and she did fine. Today she is doing better. I think it's always that first day after that hurts. I remember. Have I mentioned that she gets her fine looking teeth from both her dad and I? Yep, both of us were brace faces when we were growing up. I hope all my children do not share the same fate as Sabryna, but I'm afraid they will. :( Mychigan is already talking about "When I get braces...." like it's for sure gonna happen, even though she hasn't even lost a baby tooth yet!

My kids are all getting a homemade quilt for Christmas. Yesterday was Dell's day off and he helped me tie one of them. I'm excited to give them to them! I hope they will appreciate them, I am having fun making them. :)

Here's little Ryver "helping" Daddy tie.

He was such a good sport to keep tying, one handed while the baby was on his lap! Aren't they adorable?

Wow, you're ambitious! Good job on the quilts!
What a nice daddy! I don't think I could ever get Scott to help with that! I'm very impressed!!
Sorry the Party wasn't too fun! I'm beginning to think the "committee" have run out of ideas. Did I just say that in my out loud voice? Oops!

Cool! Quilts for everyone- what a project! That's neat that Dad has put some love and work into them too.

Braces are a pain. Both Matt and I had braces. We figure we better start saving now.

Dell is always such a good egg! The quilt looks adorable! (As does the cute baby in the picture. ;)) You know you cursed yourself in regards to the new Christmas Party Committee, right? God is now going to call you to that position! :) Better start thinking of ideas now so you will be all ready when the Bishop calls! ;)

Haha Cynthia! You are so funny....I thought of that, but decided that I wasn't cursing myself. :) Uh uh.

Kate~ Dell tied quilts with his mom all his life. He was always the one that would help her out with anything. He still does for me. :) I love it!

D~ Yes, start saving now. It's not as expensive as I thought it would be, but still expensive, and most dental insurances don't cover orthodontics. :(

That little Ryver is SOOO cute! I'm sad now that my kids aren't that little anymore.

HAHA! How do you tie a quilt with one hand? Only Dell, my lovely son-shine could do that!

my hubby and I were brace faces too! Although Steven has his for 5 years, because he would not wear his head gear...he's too cool for that stuff...and lots of other things...whatever...

so far the dentist has said that my oldest two are candidates for braces for sure...you should see their x-rays...it's nuts! Oh well...anyway..

You're awesome making quilts for everyone...I still don't know what I am going to do for the little ones...or Steven for that matter...

Oh well, have a good week!
