Our Menagerie

I was just over at Jennifer's blog and she was asking those of us who have pets to post pictures of them, so that's what I'll do. :) I needed a good excuse to post pictures of my fuzzy friends anyway!

I have 3 dogs, 4 cats, 1 rat, and 2 fish. There wont be pictures of the fish, but just so you know they are a beta (Zachary) and a goldfish (Buddy). You can picture them in your head. :)

Our first dog is Zoie, and we have had her longer than we have had kids. She is 13 years old, and still acts young. It will be a sad day when she goes. We all love her very much.

Next is Allie our Beagle. She is kinda camera shy, so I don't have many good pictures of her. She is sweet and loving and escapes our house all the time! Frustrating! But we still love her.Our last doggie is Otis or 'Odie', our Cockapoo. We just got him in July and he is an adorable furry addition to our family. We are completely smitten by him!Next I will introduce our kitties. This is Esmeralda or Ezzie. She and her brother Purcy are 9 years old and have been in our family as long. Ezzie is very lovable and is a lap cat. She prefers adults over children, but loves kids as long as they are kind to her. She drools when she is happy. (I keep saying we should have named her 'Drew-ling'...haha!) They are very well loved, but hate the dogs, so we have to share the house, in other words...take turns. They are my beauties. Purcy is Ezzie's brother, and he is the best cat ever! He lets the kids climb on him, drag him around, pack him around, and generally torture him and he just lays there. He loves to be loved and is a big fluffy lovey furball. We don't know what life would be like without him. :)They adore each other too.Gabby (Purrincess Gabriella) is our kitten we have had for a year now. The older cats hated her at first and now they tolerate her bordering on liking her. She is a spaz (what we should have named her) and loves to be loved on her terms. She is a sweetie.
See? They 'almost' like each other! I think Purcy is thinking "Get this little spazmoid away from me would ya?"
Our other kitty is Tinkerbell (the orange one). She is an outdoor cat. The other cat pictured is her mom Possa, but she hasn't been seen in over a year. My girls are sad about that, but they know it's the risks for an outdoor cat. Tinkerbell mostly lives in the garage. She is very sweet, but is skittish and only lets me close to her. We love her regardless.
This is Snickers our Rat. We have had her since April. She was hand fed as a baby and is sweet and loving. She is fun to hold and play with and never bites. She is a fun addition to our family. :)

So there you have it! Our animals...all of them! We should call ourselves a 'herd' huh? They all have a special place in our home and in our hearts! We are an 'animal' family, that's for sure!
