So the little girls and I spent the weekend with Dell's mom and Sabryna went up hunting with daddy. Man she got a work out! She came home so tired and her lungs hurt from all the hiking they did. She is feeling better after a day of rest, but I think she is glad that only comes around once a year! But when Grandpa asked her if she was going to go again next year, she said YES! of course I am! Haha...I guess the hiking and early wake up call didn't deter her!
I am excited to sleep in my own bed tonight. It's not easy for me to sleep at other peoples houses, even my mom's. It seems all people have for me to sleep on are futons and they aren't comfortable! My back always hurts and I inevitably wake up with a headache when I sleep on one. Not to mention nursing. I hate not being at home when I have to nurse a baby in the middle of the night. It's just so much more comfortable at home.
Mychigan learned how to ride a bike without training wheels! She was riding her cousins little bike, or trying to at first and all of a sudden, she just took off! Wow! I guess we will be taking her training wheels off next time she wants to ride. (Which will probably be soon!)

The girls weren't ready to come home today, they were having a blast playing with their cousins, and it took about an hour of telling them we were going in (____insert number here____) minutes. Man they know how to drag their feet!
Daisy starts pre-school tomorrow, how fun is that? Yay!
Now it's bed time for me ... zzzzzzz .....

Hey Steph! Congrats to your husband on his prize! I know I sound like a real city girl, but I have only had any kind of what I think of as hunting meat once. And I didn't love it. I tried.
Jon likes to shoot his neat .22, but he hunts things like unsuspecting tin cans and cardboard boxes. It's very challenging. :)
E-mail me the zucchini recipe! I don't think the humungous one is any good, but we have tons more that I need to figure out what to do with. And you should send it to Kate too. :)

Thank you! I'm not into the meat either, if he wants to eat it, I will make it for him, but I don't eat it. I tried too, and he's just going to have to live with my less-than enthusiasum for the stuff. And I'm not that into hunting either, and if my husband was as into it as yours is, I wouldn't mind one bit, but alas, I will be a hunters widow, I mean wife, for the rest of my life. Oh well, I love him!
I will email you that recipe, I will get on the horn to my MIL today!
Steph
Steph- Holy Cow way to go Dell! That thing is freaking ginormous! (that is a word my Sammy has gotten me to use) Holy Hell, where are you putting that thing?
How cool is Mychigan? What a rockstar! How fun!!

Elk is a really rich meat and I like WAY better than deer. My husband hunts ... but not elk and so I have to eat deer. Thankfully he doesn't want to hang the dead things on my wall ... good luck with that one! :P
Kate ~ Yes, I know it's ginormous! And I have no idea where we are going to put it! I'm sure he thinks we are going to hang it on the wall where we can all knock our heads on it, since we don't have vaulted ceilings but I don't think so...we shall see...
Carrie ~ I don't like either kind of meat. If I had to choose, I would choose the elk, but it just tastes wild to me...I'll take plain old beef thank you. :)
